Rosalyn Gerstein received both her BFA and MFA from RISD and her PHD from MIT. Her intimate portraits explore identity in American culture and capture insights into personal experiences, combining the photographer’s perspective and the subject’s story. She has lectured, published and exhibited throughout the United States, and taught intermittently. She is a recipient of numerous regional grants, including both the Massachusetts and Vermont Councils on the Arts.
