Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973): Shakespeare, 1965. Lithograph on heavy paper, from the Shakespeare Edition, numbered 164/1000, published by Harry N. Abrams, New York, signed in plate, unframed. This print is accompanied by a document from Ala Moana Editions.

Picasso was the most dominant and influential artist of the first half of the twentieth century. Associated most of all with pioneering Cubism, alongside Georges Braque, he also invented collage and made major contributions to Symbolism and Surrealism.

18.5 x 12.5 inches paper;

Private collection, Barcelona, Spain; Collection of a California Gentleman.

Condition

Over all very good condition; no damage to the print; the top edge has been crushed and shows a lot of creases and paper surface loss.
