Manoucher Yektai was a Persian-American artist of the New York School whose painterly impasto works capture still lifes, portraits, and color fields with equal expressiveness. His intense, lyrical pieces maneuver between naturalism and abstraction.

Good condition with minor signs of age and handling. Minor smudges and stray marks on the background, mostly along the upper edge. Mild pressure marks along the stretcher's inner edges. As with many older paintings, oil from the main composition has migrated through to the back of the canvas.
