Louis Lozowick (Ukrainian, 1892-1973) Attributed: Snow After Fire. Water color on paper, signed in pencil lower right, framed. This composition is a preliminary study for Lozowick's 1940 lithograph by the same title, which he produced for the Federal Art Project of the Works Progress Administration.

Born in Ludvinovka in the Ukraine, Louis Lozowick became best known for his lithographs of skyscrapers, constructions, and machinery, a series spanning fifty years.
