Karl Schmidt-Rottluff was a German expressionist painter and printmaker; he was one of the four founders of the artist group Die Brucke.

Condition

Very good condition overall; paint loss as the result of frame rub; light craquelure in sitter's lips; two large scratches in the center of the composition; two areas of paint loss in the center of the painting; board is significantly warped.
