Jules Pascin (American, 1885-1930): Salome Salome. Etching on Arches paper. Posthumous reproduction, stamped with the artist's signature, numbered in pencil 68/100. Verso shows inventory numbers in pencil and a small stamp.
Known under the pseudonym of the “Prince of Montparnasse,” Pascin mainly painted women, often nude or in stages of undress, in a fleeting, gestural aesthetic akin to the movements of Fauvism or Cubism.
