Ink and ink wash drawing on paper, unsigned, presented in an elaborate frame with museum glass, silk mattes and silver-finished fillets. The backing board of the original frame, bearing the label of Galerie Paul Magne, Paris, is mounted to the back of the current frame.
Jean Maurice Eugène Clément Cocteau was a French poet, playwright, novelist, designer, film director, visual artist and critic. He was one of the foremost avant-garde artists of the 20th century and highly influential on the Surrealist and Dadaist movements.
