Hiroshi Asada was a Japanese painter and printmaker, whose figurative works dealt with the psychology of everyday life, with a touch of surrealism. He was born in an artistic family – both his father Benji Asada and his brother Takashi Asada are renowned for their nihonga (Japanese-style paintings).
