Hendricks A. Hallett (American, 1847 - 1921): Maritime Scene. Watercolor on paper, signed lower left , framed.

Born in Charlestown, Massachusetts, Hendricks Hallett studied in Antwerp and Paris. Best known for marine scenes and shores capes of Boston Harbor, he also painted in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and on Mount Desert Island in Maine. He also painted historical subjects, particularly those relating to marine events.

21.5 x 27 inches framed; 14.5 x 20 inches sight.
