Georges Rouault (French, 1871-1958) Attributed: Portrait du Femme. Gouache on paper mounted to cardboard, signed upper right, unframed. This painting is accompanied by a document of provenance from a 2005 sale.

Georges Henri Rouault was a French painter, draughtsman and print artist, whose work is often associated with Fauvism and Expressionism.

20.25 x 16.25 inches paper.

Condition

Fair condition; rips and paint loss throughout the composition from the cardboard expanding and shrinking; cardboard is slightly warped; paper loss around edges; paint appears to be faded.
