Frank Chilton was a painter of the deserts in and around Phoenix, Arizona. He was "Desert Artist" of the year in the 1950's and has hundreds of paintings in private collections and galleries around the U.S.

Very good condition; the varnish is slightly toned; light surface grime visible in the center of the painting.
