This book cover is a handmade creation by Toledo, crafted around 2005 as part of a charitable initiative for the construction of the local library. Toledo personally signed the back of this unique piece. The majority of these book covers were crafted in his workshop, while a select few bear the mark of his hand-painted touch.

Francisco Toledo was a celebrated Mexican artist and cultural philanthropist who drew on his indigenous pre-Colombian heritage to create striking works suffused with shamanistic animal imagery.
