Claude Monet (French, 1840-1926): Les Glacons, 1906. Heliogravure on laid paper, published by H. Floury, Paris, France from an edition of 100, elegantly preserved in a hand carved frame with name plate. This print is accompanied by a document signed by Nathan Daniel Isen.

A founder of French Impressionist painting, and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement's philosophy of expressing one's perceptions before nature, especially as applied to plein-air landscape painting.

24 x 28.5 inches framed; 5 x 8 inches plate.

Acquired in 2010 from Bernie Madoff victim restitution auction; Private collation, New England.

Very good condition; the paper is rippled; light foxing lower right; lower right corner is rounded.
