Chalkie Davies (Welsh, b. 1955 (After)): Portrait of Pete Townshend. Silver Gelatin print dry mounted to board, unsigned, unframed.
Welsh-born Davies worked as a staff photographer at NME from 1975 to 1979, shooting numerous iconic covers including bands like The Clash, The Ramones and The Sex Pistols. In 1980, he helped launch 'The Face' magazine.
