Bessie Potter Vonnoh (American, 1872–1955): Girl on a Swing, Bronze Garden Sculpture. Signed and dated 'Bessie Potter Vonnoh/1906' on the baby's right bottom cheek verso; also with 'ROMAN BRONZE WORKS N.Y.' along the edge of the same bottom cheek verso, bronze with verdigris patina.

A sculptor known for her depiction of graceful, serene, female figures with gently sweeping garments, Vonnoh was born in St. Louis, Missouri and trained at the Art Institute of Chicago.
