Andy Warhol (American, 1928-1987) Attributed: Shoes. Mixed media (acrylic, silkscreen, ink) on paper signed lower right margin and verso, marked on reverse with a stamp from Coopers International Auctions. Framed. A possible study for an edition print.

Warhol was obsessed with celebrity, consumer culture, and mechanical (re) Manner of production. He made a variety of paintings, prints and posters from some of the most iconic images of the 20th century. In his early career he was an illustrator, known for his quirky renderings of shoes.
