After Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973): Harlequin, from Barcelona Suite (Czwiklitzer 230) offset lithograph in colors, 1966, on Arches, signed in pencil, unnumbered, published by Museo Picasso, Barcelona, with full margins, blind stamp lower left.
During his early days in Paris, Picasso began creating his Barcelona Suite. There were five original oil paintings in the suite, and they reside at the Musee Picasso in Barcelona. In 1966, to celebrate Picasso's 85th birthday, the museum published a limited edition of offset lithographs, after the paintings from the Barcelona suite. All of these were hand-signed by Picasso, a fitting way to honor him, and this is one of the limited editions from the series.

22 5/8 x 17 1/8 in. (574 x 435 mm.) S. 29½ x 21 5/8 in. (749 x 549 mm.)

Private collection, France.
