African Tribal Art: Dogon People, Mali. Gracefully leaning couple, male and female. The Female carries a baby on her back. The Dogon say that the figures were magically seen in trees by Spiritual Leaders and described to the village Carver who then "liberated" the figures.

This Authentic African Tribal Sculpture has been examined by Near Infrared (NIR) Spectroscopy and is approximately 140 years old. A certificate of the examination will accompany the artwork.
