Adolph Gottlieb (American, 1903-1974) Attributed: Abstract Expressionist Composition. Ink wash on paper, signed and dated (1966) lower right, unframed.
For Gottlieb the burst symbolized the dichotomy between uniformity and chaos. His oeuvre crescendoed with the Burst series which he began in 1957 and continued to expand upon until his death in 1974.

Very good condition. The corners are slightly rounded, and the bottom edge is toned.
